This moment. Can't give it away, am relishing it! Have been away at gaia for a while so it's hard to give my attention now elsewhere!

Help

We soooo missed you, Mila!! Great to have you back :) Hope you had a grand holiday season!
Hugs and peace

Well, I don’t know whether you could call it grand but maybe in a way, moving back to our own house over the holidays could be grand is some way, LOL! Missed you a lot, too, Sherri! Hugs and peace and blessings!
welcome to the moment:-) would love to hear about your moving adventures.
So happy to “hear your voice” again…and glad the first move is over :)
Hi Janet! Well, something memorable in this move is that nothing broke, materially and otherwise. Nothing close to a nervous breakdown as compared to some previous moves. Though we still felt we had so many unnecessary stuff that have to go. A few days after the move, however, my too excited son jumped on me and I had to carry all of his 37 kg weight and ended up pinching a nerve or two and stretching some back muscles - painful! But looking at the bright side, at least I didn’t fall over - LOL! And the pain has subsided after 3 days.
Yes, Helen am so glad to ‘hear me’ again here as well!
Thank you sisters for your warm welcome!
So here’s the million $ question– have you settled in now?
and did you find things to throw away not only before but also after moving?
And….is it colder here or in the foothills of the Himalayas?
[sorry, I cheated; and made it 3 questions]
Love your questions. The settling in process continues - seems it will go on forever - LOL! So much clatter still, except in the kitchen, living and Milind’s room. Am looking forward to the return of my househelp after she left for the village 3 months ago to take care of her ailing mother-in-law! Once she’s back settling in will be breezy!
Yes, I did find many stuff to give away and the heap is growing. Have given away a lot of shelves, furnitures, kitchen stuff, and used appliances to my in-laws and kidstuff to Milind’s cousins! Am also sorting through a lot of books and clothes and packing them in boxes market ‘leave behind’, ‘give away’, ‘for sale’, and ‘to Canada’.
I feel that winter in the Himalayan foothills are not as cold (snow is a rare event here, except in the hills and mountain regions) as in the Americas or northern Europe, but it surely is getting colder than before.
Anymore questions?
Thanks for connecting, Meenakshi!
