Appointment for a hug?

This happened last night.
I was busily preparing dinner while my son Milind was doing his homework. Out of the blue, he remarked, "Mom, come and give me a hug!"
I couldn't leave what I was frying at that moment so I replied "Later, sweetheart as Mom's in the middle of cooking."
My son blurted out "Do I need to make an appointment even for a hug?"
That sure got my attention and I came running to hug him!

You shine brightly like a star, tara! Thank you for being you! Big love!
This is so wonderfully true. We shouldn't have to make an appointment for a hug, but should run towards each other with open arms and fling ourselves wide open into those we love and tell them by our actions and our words that they are loved. Especially children. My, what a world we would have if everybody would just hug the people they love more often. Absolutely beautiful my new friend.
Thank you, Michael for your add ons. Actually my son invented this ritual with his Mom and Dad. First we do high fives with one another left and right hand then do the bump three times with our hips then we hug tightly. So far we've been doing that at home whenever anyone of us feel like doing it. It raises the positive energy whenever we do so. When we were at his school though, he felt embarassed to do it - LOL!
