What do you appreciate most about your mother?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 13, 2007:
Everything that she is. She's a special Mom, a woman of substance - ambitious, independent, determined, caring, practical, hardworking, resilient, adventurous, and loves life. She's a lawyer and at 50 she left a wonderful career, owing to her moral convictions. She's 82 now, still works part-time and sings in the church choir (she is gifted with a beautiful voice), I guess two secrets of her long life and positive outlook in life. She has been suffering from arthritis for about a decade but carries on. My son and I hope to reunite with her soon, along with my brothers, in Seattle.
